Grandma's Garden Ankara Print Satin Bonnet

I lost both of my grandmothers at a fairly young age (10 and 20) and though my relationships with them were (and will forever remain) complicated, I cannot deny that these women loved me. I also cannot deny that our complicated relationships, the distance of immigration, and the fact that we had so little time together mean that a lot of generational knowledge and stories were lost with them.  

This vibrant blue and yellow wax print fabric features yellow poppies-- flowers that are often associated not only with death but with eternal peace, hope, and remembrance. Though we did not share much (including time and stories) what I hope most is that, in death, these two women are at peace.

This bonnet is available in STANDARD and XL sizes. The standard size (shown in the photos) fits most adult heads (plus kids over 10 years) and most short-medium length hair. It can also fit most box braid styles if placed in a bun. The XL has the same band length and is suitable for long hair, box braids, medium-length locs, and similar hairstyles.
